An Engaging Primer To Amaretto Flavored Tea And Its Uses

If you're looking for a drink that really hits the spot without getting you wasted the morning after, amaretto flavored tea is just that - amaretto taste without the alcohol. It has a velvety feel in the mouth and makes a great after dinner tea. Among other things, this versatile amber liqueur serves as a tea flavoring, though it is much more than that.

If you enjoy learning about the history of things, you might find one story of how amaretto came about a little interesting.

Amaretto is the Italian word for somewhat bitter. Now, would you believe the first bottle of amaretto made was because of a love affair? Again, a love affair, and a very colorful one - how cool is that? Let's meet the hero of our little tale, a painter named Bernardino Luini, creator of the famous Madonna fresco at Saronno, Italy's Santa Maria delle Grazie Church. So our friend Bernie received a personal gift from an innkeeper, who turned out to be a lady who was posing as model for the star of this story!

Apricot pits, and not real almonds, are responsible for that unique flavor that comes with amaretto. Many people believe amaretto was first created by mixing, no, rather inadvertently soaking apricot pits in a container of grape brandy. One of the wonderful things about life is that accidents may cause wonderful things to happen, but it still remains a question - was amaretto an accident or created with a purpose?

You can find several different kinds of amaretto flavored tea. One option is to keep things fresh by mixing the syrup straight into the teapot. Even conventional green and black teas can be mixed with amaretto. From time to time, it's not a bad idea to make a green tea taste less grassy and more vibrant. Personally, I like to be creative by mixing syrups to conventional teas, and my better half does the same - maybe you would like to give this a try?

Tea is not a boring drink, mistake it not - in fact, we can let our quirky creativity shine and have fun with it, and one great idea that might work for you is amaretto flavored tea. Make sure to try this tea and remember that teas like this can be enjoyed year around, and any time of day.
