Telling others about their goals is what some people are concerned about because they are worried about failing. However, telling others means that you are more likely to achieve your goals either with their support or in-spite of them.

Your goals need to be written down. This strategy is advisable for those who have a long list of goals. You need to regularly review your goals after you have written them down. You may also want to keep them handy to keep you motivated.
